We are currently looking for a Nurse Practioner Supervisor/Physician Assistant to come on board for a 6-month contract with our Long-Term Managed Care Client in Brooklyn Area. Under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer, the Site Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner is responsible for the professional, organizational, and administrative aspects of providing quality medical care to Diagnostic Treatment Centers (DTCs) patients.
Resumes with Geriatric, Primary Care, and Internal Medicine experience will be considered.
Job Responsabilties:
  • Supervises and manages Nurse Practitioners assigned to their location and
    assists with the oversight of other Diagnostic Treatment Center’s clinical
    staff as needed.
  • Complete direct reports and annual performance appraisals and
    collaborate with other DTC Managers providing annual performance
    feedback to the DTC clinical staff as needed.
  • In the absence of, or at the direction of, the Medical Director, the NPS will
    represent or serve as the Medical Director role at their location.
  • Direct the medical care and treatment of patients and have primary
    medical responsibility in overseeing and supporting the care rendered by
    other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Supports the needs of all site patients including primary care and
    community-based membership.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve the quality, cost, and utilization of care
    for the site participants.
Qualifications:
  • Licensed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in NY required.
  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in NY required.
  • DEA Certification required.
  • AANP or ANCC Board Certification required.
  • Current active and unrestricted NYS Physician Assistant License.
  • NY DEA registration.
  • NCCPA Board Certification
  • Current BLS Certification
