📌 YOU could be the electrical project expert at the plant
- Maintain and improve the electrical safety program, including arc flash
- Oversee and optimize facility power distribution
- Research and identify electrical issues in the plant and propose electrical solutions
- Assist with development and maintaining systems to monitor plant power usage
- Oversee engineering projects and preventative maintenance initiatives
- Support other engineers with electrical needs for new manufacturing cells and lines
- Establish continuous improvement directives related to power distribution
- Complete detailed data analysis
- Research and coordinate cost justification for new projects and present to upper management for approval
- Monitor and implement energy savings projects
- Oversee up to 4-6 projects at one time with varying budgets and timelines
- Communicate with internal and external partners on the status of project timelines, including coordinating and leading teams
- Utilize 2D CAD for electrical panel and power distribution design
- Drive the vision for the plant’s future sustainability plan
- Other engineering tasks as assigned
Medical benefits are available the first of the month after 30 days of employment. Holidays, vacation, relocation assistance, 401K and annual bonus potential! This position does require candidates to work over holiday shutdowns and some weekends to complete projects.
REQUIREMENTS for the Electrical Project Design Engineer:
1. Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field; Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technologies highly preferred
2. At least two years of similar electrical project design engineering experience at a manufacturing site
4. Project management skills, including management of timelines and budgets
6. Electrical design of power distribution
9. Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
Skills preferred but NOT required:
1. Automotive manufacturing work experience
2. Capital equipment projects
3. Exposure to Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies
4. Strong data analysis skills
