This is a medium-sized manufacturing facility that does custom-compounding – non-PSM regulated facility. This is one of two plants the company has in the US, the other facility in the Akron, OH area. This position reports to the plant manager at this facility – the succession plan is to have this role take over as plant manager within the next 2-3 years, so there is upward progression built into this role.

 

This person will be responsible for process optimization, updating SOPs, helping to upgrade the plant controls and instrumentation systems as well as production support.

 

Requirements:

  • B.S. in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
  • 3+ years of post-college, industry experience, out of chemicals, plastics, rubber, foods, pharma, paints/coatings, etc.
  • Candidates would ideally have at least some experience or exposure to PLCs, instrumentation, etc.
  • Candidates should have at least some leadership experience or previous management experience
