We are currently seeking a Logistics Coordinator for our Global Distribution Client in Maryland. This is a Full-Time, Remote position, ideally targeting a professional on the East Coast. This position will oversee Global Air Freight for its B2B book division. You will manage freight across multiple lanes, working with freight forwarders, airlines, and suppliers to move product from origin through customs to its destination.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee air freight movement across all covered markets
- Book and manage shipments with forwarders, airlines, and carriers
- Coordinate airline handling and supplier delivery to the airport
- Prepare import and export documentation and work with customs brokers to keep shipments clearing on time
- Apply airline, airport, and customs requirements, and escalate compliance questions
- Track shipments end to end, send proactive updates, and resolve delays and exceptions
- Report on cost and transit performance
Qualifications
- 5+ years at a freight forwarder, or an organization that moves global air freight
- Hands-on air freight experience across multiple international lanes, not a single lane
- Working knowledge of cross-border shipping with a customs focus, plus airline and airport regulations
- Understanding of import, export, and compliance processes (expert level not required)
- Strong communication and comfort working across time zones
- Preferred: Freight Forwarder background and experience with B2B or retail product flows.
