Our client, a manufacturer of heavy vehicles, is looking for someone with a strong mechanical aptitude to lead their Test, Validation, and Compliance team.

What you will be doing: 
  • Work with design engineering to develop product testing plans, timelines and validation procedures.
  • Integrate FEA analysis with testing.
  • Supervise the technical department of engineers and technicians.
  • Help resolve assembly line issues and assist with troubleshooting machine problems as needed.
  • Work with service on warranty concerns or customer complaints.
  • Coordinate & interface with other departments in a global development environment (design engineering, manufacturing engineering, shop floor, and service/training depts.).
  • Have the ability to develop resource staffing plans and manage capital & expense budgets.
 
What they are looking for: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred, any STEM degree will be considered. A Masters degree is a plus.
  • 7+ years of experience in a test & validation role(s).
  • At least some prior management experience is desired.  Will have up to 11 direct reports.
  • Similar industry experience is desired, but any experience with a frame/engine will be considered.
  • Need to have a personality that can allow for some flexibility at times and also someone with a passion for engineering.
  • A mechanical aptitude and some technical understanding is required.
  • Knowledge in a variety of compliance areas is preferred.
