Senior Control Systems Engineer – SIS
Our client is currently seeking an Advanced Control Systems Engineer – SIS for their office in the Houston, TX area.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a high degree of technical knowledge and competency with safety systems engineering and specifications development. Must demonstrate the ability to work to a high standard of professionalism within a team environment.
Job Experience:
2-15 years in safety systems engineering and applications consulting experience. We need multiple people at a few different levels within that range.
Education:
Bachelor Degree or equivalent Experience Certifications
TUV Certification a large plus but not required
PE a plus but not required
Core Competencies:
Must be highly experienced with all aspects of safety lifecycle management including SIL and SIF calculations, LOPA development, HAZOP analysis, and development of Safety Requirement Specifications for refinery process equipment.
Experience with Triconex, Functional Safety Assessments, and IPL Assessments required.
Technical Capabilities:
1. Ability to do Safety Objective analysis.
2. Ability to do logic development, including logic narratives and logic diagrams.
3. Knowledge and experience to perform SIL analysis and hazard analysis.
4. Knowledge of PLC programming, panel design, and programming.
5. Knowledge and experience to develop a Test Procedure.
6. Knowledge and experience to do cutovers, loop checks, and provide start up assistance and trouble shooting.
7. Experience and knowledge in providing initial training in operation and maintenance of the installed Safety Instruments.
