Sr. Engineering Project Manager job description

Summary:

Managing capital expenditures and processing projects for the location. Provide leadership to recommend, plan and implement a wide variety of projects which support the company. Responsible for the preparation of overall programs and process direction to provide productivity and quality improvements in the operational efficiencies of plant operations, including optimum use of facilities and equipment layout, operations analysis for continuous improvement, product quality, labor engineering and budgeting. Travel may be required to other plants based in NY, WI, CA, & ID.

This position has one direct report and reports directly to the Plant Director.

Requirements:

Education

·         Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field of study is required – master’s degree preferred 

Experience

·         5-7 years of experience in managing complex projects and installations is required

·         Prior food industry project management experience is required – dairy industry is preferred

Specialized Knowledge

·         Agri-food industry technology and processes, project or product engineering in food or dairy processing plant, knowledge of main dairy process equipment (HTST, separator, membrane systems, mechanical, electrical and control systems associated) and FDA and USDA regulations

Familiar with the following trades: Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Utilities, and Construction

Compensation: $110,000 $140,000 with a 20% bonus.
