Client is currently seeking a Senior Power Engineer to join our team in San Antonio, TX. The Plant Power/Capital Projects Manager will interface with Architects, Engineers and Equipment OEM’s in the design and construction of our benchmark assembly plant in San Antonio, TX. This position will support our new $250 million dollar benchmark assembly facility.

This position will assist and works hands on with development of leading-edge commercial vehicle solutions to meet the needs of our customers and implement benchmark lean manufacturing and Industry 4.0 principles.

 

The Plant Power/Capital Projects Manager will lead Level 1 and 2 control system selection, integration and implementation. This position will also have a supporting role on Level 3 control systems and facility equipment, working on 13.2 KV substations and 480 voltage AC switchgear.

  

 

– Responsibilities:

  • Initiate and execute power delivery projects for entire plant, including design and implementation of facility and equipment electrical distribution systems.
  • Develop and maintain schedules, lead project status meetings, oversee budgets, participate in proposal preparation, take leading role in client relationships.
  • Evaluates, selects and orders equipment that is most appropriate and cost effective for the manufacture of company products.
  • Manages the installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipment. Maintains current records on equipment manufacturers’ technical notices, upgrades and safety issues.
  • Studies equipment performance and reliability.
  • Establishes programs and solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process.
  • Provides technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations. Defines and writes preventative maintenance schedules.

 

– Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 8 years of product manufacturing experience
  • At least 1 year of lead experience 

OR

  • Master’s degree
  • At least 6 years of product manufacturing experience
  • At least 1 year of lead experience 

OR

  • At least 10 years of product manufacturing experience

At least 1 year of lead experience
