Sr. Mechanical Engineer Tasks:

• Lead, design, and troubleshoot custom, innovative high-speed material handling equipment with precision instrumentation
• Understand the impact of the design on the production, and adjust accordingly
• Direct and coordinate construction, installation, maintenance, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, etc.
• Integrate new technologies into equipment and processes
• Perform continuous improvement activities
• Develop, document, and follow production processes

Sr. Mechanical Engineer Requirements:

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
• Must have leadership experience in a manufacturing production environment
• Must be able to design, program and troubleshoot high-speed industrial machinesconveyors
• Must have industrial continuous improvement experience
• Must be able to problem solve and understand the impact of their work on operations and make adjustments
• Proficient in SolidWorks
• Fundamental understanding of manufacturing processes and material handling equipment
• Understand Engineering Design Principles with a strong aptitude in math and physics.
• Ability to safely and effectively use hand tools such as meters, wrenches, drills, saws, etc.
• Ability to communicate effectively with operators and vendors
• Must be hands-on, willing to climb, use lift and harness, etc.
• Work around loud machinery requiring hearing protection, hard hat, safety glasses, steel toed shoes, etc.
