Our client is a national commercial real estate investment firm that has a need for a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) – Associate to join their growing team. This candidate will be reporting directly to the CFO.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop internal reporting including key performance indicators for monthly and quarterly review that can be used by senior management in analyzing the performance of the business
  • Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and capital expenditures
  • Play a key role in all aspects of the firm’s mergers and acquisitions and strategic investments process
  • Assist in driving transaction process by managing due diligence requests, maintaining data rooms, and coordinating with external advisors
  • Build budgets and forecasts for the firm’s business
  • Construct and maintain P&Ls by business unit, analyze performance and make recommendations
  • Analyze complex analysis projects; evaluate findings, prepare reports and make recommendations to senior leadership about financial implications of proposed transactions
  • Perform business decision analytics and produce ad-hoc Reporting and Analysis
  • Assist in elements of the company’s financial accounting transformation, ensuring that financial data systems are designed to provide comprehensive reporting capabilities
  • Oversee and manage the continued development of budgeting, financial forecasting, operating plan, and modeling tools
  • Implement and work with a business intelligence tool and dashboard reports that can be utilized by senior management
  • Prepare presentations to Board of Directors and Senior Management



  • Must be advanced or an expert in SQL, Excel, VBA, Python, Alteryx or/and Power Query
  • Strong understanding of basic level accounting and financial statements
  • Deep understanding and demonstration of financial modeling capabilities
  • Power user of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word with knowledge in, or ability to quickly learn, additional systems and applications such as QuickBooks, and other ledger platforms
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex issues efficiently and accurately to senior executives both verbally and in writing
  • Proficient in putting together management presentations, information memorandums and board materials  
  • Willingness to work with a high-energy, hard-working, and high-performing team
  • CPA, MBA in finance/accounting or CFA will be valued in a candidate but is not a requirement
