Tier I and tier II automotive supplier is seeking a SCADA Systems Engineer to work in their fast-paced, mass production manufacturing organization.  Daily you will be responsible for the following tasks:
 
  • Setting up data systems and databases to connect to servers and equipment to track production KPIs and statistics
  • Build and upgrade SCADA Systems for process control and data acquisition, which involve hardware and software upgrades
  • Manage DNS records, DHCP server and Active Directory to ensure proper functionality of the network systems
  • Configure and manage MDT AutoSave system in a virtual environment that handles version control and backups of process control systems
  • Acting as the site expert for SCADA and IT Engineering
  • Develop forward looking strategies for control systems and robotics
  • Participating in team-oriented projects 
  • Other duties as directed by management
 
This position requires candidates to be on the manufacturing floor up to 30% of their day.  Candidates should be able to work independently and as a team, be able to take ownership of projects, work on multiple projects at a time, have a high sense of urgency and have good work history.  Benefits are competitive, including medical (day one of employment), dental, bonus potential education reimbursement, 401K, LTD, paid holidays and vacation.

Requirements for the SCADA Systems Engineer:
1. A bachelor’s degree is preferred; minimum of a high school diploma is required 
2. Minimum of five years in a similar systems engineering position 
3. Experience performing similar functions in a manufacturing environment
4. Experience with servers and networks 
5. Experience with similar manufacturing infrastructures 
6. Microsoft Office  
 
Skills that are preferred, BUT NOT required:
1. Strong SCADA systems experience 
2. Automotive supplier or OEM experience
3. SQL server
