We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sales Engineer to join a team as a Manufacturer’s Rep for hydronic heating equipment. As a Sales Engineer, you will be the local territory representative responsible for promoting and selling our diverse range of hydronic heating products. Your primary focus will be to collaborate with engineers, contractors, property managers, and other professionals in the design and building trade to deliver innovative and effective hydronic heating solutions.
· Work closely with engineers, contractors, and property managers to design and customize hydronic heating systems using our cutting-edge products.
· Provide technical expertise and support throughout the installation process, ensuring that our products are installed efficiently and effectively.
· Conduct site visits and field visits to assess project requirements and offer tailored recommendations to clients.
· Utilize your technical knowledge and experience to perform light estimating, offering rough ballpark system equipment estimates based on building dimensions and requirements.
· Proactively reach out to potential customers through cold calling and other means to identify new business opportunities and build a solid book of business.
· Manage inside sales inquiries and foster strong, long-lasting relationships with customers to ensure their heating needs are met.
· Attending association meetings and industry events to network, establish contacts, and promote our hydronic heating solutions.
· Demonstrate a conceptual understanding of hydronic heating systems and articulate the technical advantages of our products.
· Exhibit a driven and customer-focused attitude, along with humility and a pleasant demeanor in all interactions.
· Proven track record in technical sales, particularly in the hydronic heating equipment industry.
· Exceptional communication skills, enabling effective interaction with clients, engineers, contractors, and property managers.
· Ability to independently manage your workload, generate leads through cold calling and follow up on opportunities.
· Proficiency in using online tools and resources, to gather building dimensions for rough estimates.
· Familiarity with light estimating techniques for system equipment.
· A solid technical background, including knowledge of hydronic heating equipment and system design.
· Previous experience as a Sales Engineer or Manufacturer’s Rep in the hydronic heating equipment industry.
· Established contacts and relationships within the design and building trades.
· Strong problem-solving skills to provide customized solutions that meet clients’ heating requirements.
· Proactive and results-oriented approach to identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
