Are you a Logistics professional with years of account management experience, and a proven track record of identifying and developing sales professionals to perform to their fullest potential? Our client is a growing as logistics is growing, and seeking to add a Sales Director to serve as the head of the Sales Department, while building a team of successful sales professionals at all levels of experience.




  • Establish sales objectives through forecasting through a sales process
  • Develop annual sales quotas for Modes/Groups
  • Implement national sales programs by developing sales action plans and reviewing sales performance
  • Maintain national sales staff through regular recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training
  • Manage goals and sales targets for Sales Representatives with an established book of business, providing support for issues and inquiries that arise.
  • Project expected sales volume and profit for new and existing modes
  • Be the liaison and serve as a quarterback between the Sales department and various departments.
  • Responsible for providing regular updates of sales projects and initiatives to company leadership.
  • Responsible for creating internal standard operating procedures for their team members and serve as the quarterback to ensure all appropriate internal departments and personnel understand those procedures and rules of engagement.
  • Work with the appropriate internal departments and personnel to communicate any issues and shipment exceptions to the customer while leveraging the appropriate internal resources to ensure any issue or exception is handled appropriately and timely.
  • All other duties and tasks as may be necessary to achieve company goals and objectives or as may be directed from time to time by the President & CEO.





Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Sales, or related field

Preferred: Master’s in Management, Sales, or related field



Required: None

Preferred: Professional certification in Leadership, Sales, or Logistics



Required: 10+ years’ experience in Logistics or Freight sales, at least of 5 of those being in sales team management

Preferred: Demonstrable previous experience as a successful sales leader or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets for your team

  • Ability to monitoring progress of sales goals across a 7 to 10-person team

  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
