Great opportunity to lead the chemical plant site initiative for Mechanical Integrity/ Reliability Programs. Requires extensive strategic and technical background in managing and implementing the MI aspects of Process Safety Management in chemical plants.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the sitewide implementation of the Mechanical Integrity portion of Process Safety Management (PSM) including storage tank mechanical integrity, ASME Pressure Vessel inspection and repair, relief valve inspection and testing, maintenance procedure development, maintenance personnel training, critical spare identification/inspection/testing, and repair quality assurance/documentation
- Define MI responsibilities for area maintenance personnel
- Coordinate sitewide Predictive Maintenance program which includes vibration monitoring and oil analysis
- Identify and manage asset reliability risks that could adversely affect plant or business operations
- Coordinate the site wide Reliability Technician program which includes thickness testing, alloy analysis, failure analysis, generation of condition reports, and fabrication quality assurance
- Interface with the site Process Safety Management Coordinator to ensure that all aspects of Mechanical Integrity are in place
- Participate in and conduct internal PSM Audits to verify that processes in place are sufficient
- Identify and solves reliability issues
- Participate in the Corporate Manufacturing Reliability Council (MRC) which identifies, develops, and shares best practices among all sites
- Review and implement engineering and maintenance best practices including planning, scheduling, predictive maintenance, and inspection/testing
- Provide maintenance engineering/reliability engineering support for the entire plant site
- Support the Reliability Enhancement Process by serving on PM and Spare Parts Review Teams and implementing a root cause failure analysis and corrective action process
- Participate in and conduct incident investigations using the TapRoot process
Qualifications:
- BS in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years of reliability/ maintenance engineering experience in chemical, refinery, pulp & paper or related PSM plants
- Experience with reliability improvement processes: planning/scheduling, root cause failure analysis, PM Improvement, key performance indicators, and reliability engineering
- Must be an experienced with ASME and API standards
- Knowledge of the Mechanical Integrity portion of Process Safety Management
