Regional Metals Sales & Marketing Manager (Individual Contributor) – I-15 Corridor Location in Orange County, CA (Candidates MUST be within a commutable distance of the Greater Corona/Norco area)


Regional Metals Sales & Marketing Manager

Reports To:



The Regional Metals Sales & Marketing Manager (RS&MM) will drive market adoption of the company’s products and be responsible for revenue growth within the organization. The RS&MM will take a national perspective on market opportunities and lead in the assessment and prioritization of geographic as well as specific market segments.  Currently, a large percentage of accounts are in the Western US, however, there are no territory restrictions.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:



Implement a series of strategic sales and marketing initiatives leading to commercial growth and profitability for the company. Instigate and optimize controls within the sales and marketing process. Manage the external resource base to optimize performance against strategic business goals and objectives. Develop collaborative working relationships within the organization in pursuit of the company’s overall business goals.




Develop and implement in line with the company’s three-year business plan, the company’s sales and marketing strategy across key market segments. To ensure that the company identifies and optimizes a clear path to aggressive growth.

·       Develops policies and procedures as they relate to sales

·       Assess, build, and manage an array of market segments capable of delivering on the company’s growth objectives.

·       Identify and develop new market segments given defined profitability and growth expectations.

·       Given a clear marketing strategy, implement a series of value propositions and congruent value delivery systems (Brochures, Web Site, Trade Shows, etc.) built around a strong go-to-market plan.

·       Using CRM (Salesforce) to generate an accurate reporting system to keep track of sales progress and activities

·       In a collaborative team environment develop strategic targets, with respect to revenue, cost, market share, penetration, and brand awareness.

·       Responsible for developing and managing Independent Sales Representation network to meet and exceed revenue targets.

·       Establishes reasonable sales targets for a particular industry vertical based on the current market trend

·       Has a clear understanding of the current MRP system (Jobboss) to generate quotes and identify material availability

·       Prepares sales forecasts and pertinent activities on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis

·       Set up new accounts, generate quotes, and authorize changes to product pricing.

·       Networks with potential customers and business partners in an effort to promote the company and its product

·       As necessary Instruct, direct, and motivate sales personnel toward meeting the set goals following all systems and procedures

·       Maintain knowledge of territories, industry, and product trends.

·       Recommend new products for R&D


Business Development:

Develop a strategy and provide leadership for enterprise-wide business development opportunities. Originate and manage business development opportunities that are consistent with the company’s strategy for revenue growth

Budget Requirements:

Formulate and oversee a Sales & Marketing budget to deliver results with a focus and commitment to maximizing ROI


Experience & Expertise:

·     Possesses a good knowledge of economics and how current market trends influence sales

·     A strong metals-based background

·     Sales management experience

·     Strong and demonstrated strategic thinking skills

·     Ability to think creatively and develop non-traditional solutions to complex business challenges

·     Outstanding sales management skill

·     A knowledge of key marketing activities

·     Strong negotiation and analytical skills

·     Ability to be hands-on as well as strategic

·     Great interpersonal relationship and team-building skills

·     Maintains a positive attitude and constantly encourages others loyal to the company

Reporting            Position reports directly to CEO, Internal & External Sales’ Marketing.

Relationships:    Reports to incumbent


Travel:                Initially up to 60% with a goal to reduce over time

Preference For:


·     Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field from a four-year accredited college or university; MBA is preferred


·     10 to 15+ years of sales and marketing experience preferred
