Market Research/Insights Director

Primary responsibilities include addressing difficult business problems and providing research solutions that leverage a variety of tools/techniques/methodologies (including quantitative and qualitative approaches).

RESPONSIBILITIES-QUALIFICATIONS

  • Develop an expertise and knowledge of key clients and their corresponding industries
  • Anticipate and identify project problems and find solutions independently
  • Assist in the planning, scoping, and pricing of project work
  • Manage all phases of custom market research studies, both qualitative and quantitative. Ensure end-to-end project delivery in alignment with internal teams leading to high client satisfaction with project deliverables
  • Successfully manages multiple challenging and complex projects — Professionally managing entire project lifecycle for quantitative and qualitative research programs
  • Provide important client communication and manage all internal and client-facing project-related meetings
  • Actively manage project budget, work plan, profitability, as well as project and billings schedule, to meet or exceed targets
  • Serves as primary day-to-day client contact and manages all internal and client-facing project-related meetings
  • Write questionnaires, develop tab and analysis plans, develops weighting schemes, review advanced analysis outputs, develop report templates, analyze quantitative and qualitative data, and write interpretive analysis summaries
  • Oversees internal project team members who are responsible for checking online survey programs, facilitating data collection/qual. fieldwork and monitoring sample quotas, coordinating with vendors, programming and proofing data tables, conducting advanced analytics, and populating and proofing client reports
  • Ensure consistent reporting and project management for all key client accounts
  • Develops the “story” of each research project, crafting a compelling summary that utilizes visuals with input from Project Consultants on methodology-specific elements and moderate input from the Senior Consultant
  • Participates in the proposal development process (e.g., schedule, pricing, methodology) for new research projects, as well as scope changes for existing projects with input from Project Consultants on methodology-specific elements and moderate input from the Senior Consultant
  • Minimum 7 years of professional market research experience
  • Minimum of 4 years independently managing multiple custom market research projects
  • Advanced understanding of market research methods
  • Experience in leading market research project teams
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent at establishing and managing relationships with clients, vendors, and co-workers
  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Market Research, Marketing, Psychology, Sociology, Applied Economics, Political Science, or related field
  • Extremely high attention to detail
  • Experience with at research platforms such as MarketSight, Qualtrics, Q, SPSS, SQL, Alteryx
  • 15%-25% travel
