Quality Specialist

 

The Quality Specialist reports directly to the Quality Manager and is responsible for the verification and validation of system, process and product requirements as defined in procedures and work instructions.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

System Audits – as per defined procedures and work instructions, assesses and determines compliance to requirements – scope covers all organizational functions (i.e. sales, engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, human resources, etc.)

Layered Audits – as per defined procedures and work instructions, verifies compliance with requirements across company (i.e. verification of Operators, Set Up, Process Technicians and Supervisor compliance to checklist and in-process inspection requirements)

Program Launch support Monitor and report Safe Launch data

Verification of Non-Conforming Material protocol is followed on assigned shift

Facilitate 8D corrective action teams to determine root cause, identify corrective actions and verify implementation

Work in compliance with job specific procedures and work instructions

Utilizes ERP as required

Leads QMS implementation and ongoing Continual Improvement

Completes all other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

Must be able to provide evidence of and/or demonstrate:

Post- secondary education

3 year minimum in manufacturing environment

Knowledge of and practical application of statistics and measuring equipment

Computer literate (Microsoft Office)

Strong Communication Skills (Written & Verbal)

Effective problem solving and decision making

Time Management skills – able to multi-task and prioritize
