Job Title: CMM Inspector

Job Summary:

Advance, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking experienced CMM Inspectors for immediate openings on our day and night shifts. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in operating Brown & Sharpe CMMs and proficient in programming and using PC-DMIS software. This position entails performing First Piece, In-Process, and Final Inspections on complex precision machined components. Key Responsibilities:

  1. CMM Operation: Proficiently operate Brown & Sharpe Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) to inspect machined components.

  2. Programming: Create and edit inspection programs using PC-DMIS software for accurate measurement and analysis.

  3. Quality Inspections: Perform First Piece, In-Process, and Final Inspections to ensure product quality and adherence to specifications.

  4. Documentation: Maintain detailed inspection records and documentation for traceability and compliance purposes.

  5. Calibration: Ensure that CMM equipment is calibrated and maintained according to company standards.

  6. Problem-Solving: Identify and report any deviations or discrepancies in the inspection process and collaborate with the production team to resolve issues.

  7. Continuous Improvement: Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in CMM inspection of complex precision machined components.

  • Proficiency in operating Brown & Sharpe CMMs.

  • Strong knowledge of PC-DMIS programming and operation.

  • Solid understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certification is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.

  • Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 30 pounds.
