Quality & Food Safety Manager – Airline Catering

Global air services provider operating international flight catering services across 60 airports in 36 countries serving over 300 airline customers preparing 40mm meals annually.
The Boston Logan facility serves 3 major airline and VIP customers by 100 employees, 10,000 meals daily, 24/7 operation. Manage a team of 2 QA Techs.
Ensures compliance with all food manufacturing procedures, regulatory requirements, product quality, micro testing, formula integrity, allergen control program, HACCP, GMP program, hold and release program, self-inspection program, ingredient specification program, supplier vendor program, regulatory 3rd party audit program, labeling program, pre/post inspection program, verification, and code date adherence program.
Establish and implement training of the facility personnel; GMP, HACCP, Allergen, and food safety training programs ensuring required competencies affecting product legality, safety, and quality.
Facilitate as the SQF Practitioner and SQF training team leader.
Conduct audits of vendor facilities and product ingredients.
Review reports: regular inspections, sanitation violations, and corrective actions to resolve deficiencies; ensure appropriate actions are taken on a timely basis.
Oversee that FDA and standard requirements are documented to maintain compliance. Ensure regularly audits of sanitation requirements are maintained.
Position reports to: VP of Quality & Food Safety.
BS in Science.
3+ years of QA management experience in the food industry.
GFSI audit experience and familiarity with FDA and USDA regulations.
SQF is a plus.
Typically, M-F schedule with flexibility required to ensure compliance on all shifts.
Salary range: $110-125K, Company Health, Dental, Vision, 401(k) matching, 20 PTO days, 8 Holidays, Flexible schedule.
