Our client is a small Property Management company based in Concord, NC.  They are in search of a Controller / Property Manager for their small portfolio of residential and commercial properties. 

Accounting responsibilities:

Maintain accounting on rental properties. Receive, review, and process invoices from vendors. Manage the General Ledger.  Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivables.  Manage employment records, payroll, and benefits.  Input and run reports in QuickBooks. All general office duties including answering phone, ordering supplies, incoming and outgoing mail as needed.

Property Management responsibilities:

We are looking for someone with Property Management skills which include, but are not limited to, receiving and depositing rent, renting vacancies including posting ads, responding to maintenance requests, overseeing maintenance projects, overseeing turnovers and any vendors, enforcing policies and being available to respond to any emergency requests.  AirBnB or VRBO experience a plus. 

Qualifications:

  • Business or Accounting Degree preferred
  • 4+ Experience with Quickbooks and/or other accounting / payroll software
  • 2+ Property Management Experience to include AirBnB or VRBO would be a plus
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience with Excel, Word and PowerPoint
