Project Manager – Industrial Automation

Small growing systems integration services and panel shop thriving in the Houston, TX area for over 15 years.  They need a Project Manager with estimating experience for industrial automation projects primarily in the water/wastewater industry.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinating submittals, change orders, project tracking, and documentation.
• Work with documentation staff to get all required submittal documents to customers.
• Interpret plans and technical specifications to develop bill of materials and instrumentation list required for system design.
• Review and correct control panel drawings and bill of materials from controls design team.
• Work with purchasing to coordinate material deliveries.
• Responsible for working with production team to get control panels shipped on schedule per customer requirements.
• Responsible for coordinating with customer on monthly bill cut-off dates.
• Attend project meetings with other contractors and customers.
• Maintaining project material and labor costing within budget.
• Assist estimating department with scope, pricing updates, and change orders.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Prior project management experience
• Estimating experience
• Strong communication skills, pleasant and confident demeanor, and ability to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
• Must have experience with Motor Controls and Relay Logic.
• Water/Wastewater project experience preferred
