Our client is a leader in the design, fabrication, and installation of complete turnkey systems for manufacturing plants.   This position is responsible and accountable for the effective management of multiple complex multi-million dollar system projects within the constraints of scope, schedule and cost, to deliver the specified requirements and meet customer satisfaction. This responsibility encompasses developing and executing comprehensive project plans that embrace best practices, including but not limited to scope and risk management, change management, effective communication planning, cost control and resource planning needed to achieve the project objectives and assist in achieving the organization’s goals of productivity and profitability.

Critical Competencies

Project /Practice Management

Participates in review of quotation, deliverables and pre-planning prepared by the proposal department.

Leads the creation and execution of a project plan and revises said plan as appropriate, to meet changing needs and requirements, ensuring on-time delivery and within project budget.

Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.

Documents, obtains approval, tracks and manages all changes in project scope.

Manages deviations from plan by leading development of appropriate corrective action measures.

Ensuring quality is achieved as planned.

Effectively applies our methodology and enforces project standards.

Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.

Project Accounting and Financial Management

Ensures tracking, monitoring and reporting of progress to plan.

Manages to the approved project budget and cash plan.

Determines appropriate revenue recognition, ensures timely and accurate invoicing, and monitors receivables for project.

Understands basic revenue models, P/L, and cost-to-completion projections and makes decisions accordingly.

Leads analysis to determine cost-to-complete and project profitability.

Communication

Facilitates team and customer meetings effectively.

Holds regular status meetings with project team.

Effectively communicates relevant project information to superiors.

Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.

Education and Experiences

7-10 years of progressive project management experience working with multi-million dollar projects for customers with off-site installation.

 

Experience managing off-site projects

4-year Bachelor’s degree
Professional Certification in Project Management and / or a Masters in Business Administration is a plus
