Project Engineer – Petrochemicals

Location: Shreveport, LA area

Description:

This petrochemical company has three 100-person independent production facilities in the nearby area. This site is being infused with $14M in capital projects and the hiring manager has set a goal to turn this facility into world class status. This role will give you an opportunity to develop yourself within your career and grow within the company. Your focus will be managing the overall project engineering portfolio on site – focusing on process improvements. You’ll be creating submittals & quotes, working with contractors & other engineers on site, and evaluating budgets & resources. The project sizes will range from $75k all the way up to $3M, primarily spot lighted on storage tanks, piping, & control systems (DCS & PLC). There is an established partnership with E&C firms and contractors already present. This position will report directly to the Engineering Manager.

Requirements:

• B.S. Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 5+ years out of chemicals, refining, or any PSM regulated environment 
• Previous stage gate project experience is required
• Ability to design chemical equipment and systems would be a major plus
