Project Architect (Healthcare/Lab Design)

Our Client is seeking a full-time intermediate-level architectural designer – who specializes in healthcare and laboratory design – to join our growing team. Candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in all phases of architectural services and a professional portfolio that demonstrates:
· Strong aesthetic intelligence and design skills
· Experience in developing a full set of highly detailed and accurate construction documents
· Experience in coordinating with structural, MEP, lighting, and civil consultants
· Proficiency in developing hand-drawn sketches in AutoCAD
Candidate should be organized and efficient. Responsibilities will include:
· Collaboration with principal and project managers to bring projects from schematic design through construction administration
· Completion of accurate and timely drafting projects based on sketches, written, or verbal direction from project manager or supervisor
· On-site visits, field reviews, and project meetings; creation of documents as appropriate
· Research of building codes and materials selections
· Managing building and zoning department permitting process
· Obtaining accurate field measurements
· Proactively asking questions to clarify directions to facilitate work production
· Assisting in the creation of materials for client presentations
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, assemblies, and systems for the healthcare/laboratory design field
- Knowledge of sustainability and integrated design guidelines
- Working knowledge of building codes, standards, and building construction types
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture
- 5+ years of project experience in an architectural practice
- Proficient in Revit (3 Years), AutoCAD (5 Years), Bluebeam Revu, and SketchUp
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
