The role is to ensure smooth, daily running of a production cell dedicated to the manufacture of high-power amplifiers for a critical, multi-year military project.   Key interfaces are with the CEO, Engineering, Operations, Procurement, QC and Accounting.  These departments develop policy, and this role is about implementing that policy on the production floor to meet the goals and objectives of the business.

Critical responsibilities include:

  • Report to the CEO
  • Ensure that all BOM components and supplies are in stock and ready to be kitted daily according to the output required by the business
  • To prepare daily travelers and serial numbers for each unit to be produced and ensure each travelers is completed/signed off at each stage of the traveler
  • To report purchase requirements for inventory and supplies to the procurement department
  • To report yield recovery requirements and scrap to operations and accounting respectively
  • To co-ordinate training and obtain operator feedback for continuous improvement of a dedicated team of 3-5 direct cell members in assembly and test.
  • Work with operators to ensure engineering procedures, improvements and training are followed daily to ensure consistent high quality of production
  • To benchmark “time and motion” activities for each production step and seek methods to increase productivity or, as a minimum, enable transparency and predictability
  • To manage and co-ordinate the RMA procedure

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years electronics assembly production planning experience
  • RF and amplifier manufacture experience or precision electro-mechanical experience is preferred
  • Manufacture to military standards is required
  • Recently certified IPC-610 J-Standard experience is preferred
  • Must be metrics driven (KPIs), analytical with strong written and verbal communication
  • Must be highly IT literate (MS Office) especially Excel
  • Must be a good report writer with excellent written and spoken English
  • Bi-lingual Spanish, Hebrew or Russian will be well received
  • Must be able to work overtime and in a multi-cultural environment
  • 100% office based in Fairlawn, New Jersey
