Manufacturer is seeking a Production Manager to oversee a department in this fast-paced plant.  Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:  
 
  • Lead, develop, motivate and coach the hourly operators over three shifts in the assigned production area 
  • Maintain safety, quality, delivery and cost within the department 
  • Oversee all business planning and budgeting for the department
  • Champion root cause analysis and corrective actions in the assigned department
  • Partner with quality and process engineering to maximize production and decrease downtime and scrap
  • Participate in meetings and update management on the status of the department 
  • Complete required reports and analysis 
  • Support audits as needed 
  • Oversee multiple projects at a time 
  • Other duties as directed by management
 
Candidates should enjoy working in a team environment, communicating with other departments in order to meet production goals, overseeing CI activities and spending up to 90% of the time on the production floor.  The company offers competitive medical, dental and vision benefits, as well as 401K, paid holidays, tuition reimbursement and PTO.  This position does offer other managerial perks as well, including a monthly car allowance.  

REQUIREMENTS for the Production Manager: 
1. Ideally a bachelor’s degree; equivalent experience would be acceptable 
2. At least five years in a similar production management position 
3. Experience overseeing direct and indirect reports 

4. Process improvement experience
5. Experience with RCA and corrective actions 
6. Mechanical aptitude 
7. Microsoft Office
 
Skills preferred, but NOT required:
1. Strong project management experience 
2. ERP experience 
3. Non-union workforce supervision
