Chemical Engineer with PSM 

 

Description

This safety focused role will be based onsite at a chemicals production facility in St Louis that develops and manufactures industrial additives in batches (some continuous). This site has 250 employees and is searching for a Process Safety Engineer to maintain, manage, and improve PSM and EHS initiatives through the plant. You’ll focus on leading PHAs/HAZOPs, conducting safety training, completing PSM/EHS audits, and analyzing risk of operations (assessments and control). There is currently a PSM Engineer that supports multiple sites so they would like this role to focus only on the St Louis plant. You’ll be reporting to the department manager.

 

Minimum Requirements

  • B.S. Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or technical degree closely related
  • 2+ years of experience in a chemical manufacturing with PSM experience
  • Previous experience in leading or participating in PHAs/HAZOPs is key
