Due to an internal promotion of someone who has been with the company for just a year, this fast-paced automotive supplier is seeking a Continuous Improvement Coordinator to manage the containment area and initiate scrap reductions. Daily you will work within a team of engineers and report to the Engineering Manager. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Champion new and ongoing scrap reduction activities
- Focus on the management of the containment area and review parts for quality issues
- Review quality issues with the quality management team
- Lead root cause analysis, develop corrective actions and evaluate improvements
- Determine action items for production to reduce scrap and monitor the effectiveness
- Reduce monthly scrap rate and evaluate ongoing metrics and KPIs
- Monitor incoming and ongoing scrap data through the company’s data collection system
- Communicate with customers as needed on warranty issues
- Other duties as directed by management
REQUIREMENTS for the Continuous Improvement Coordinator:
1. A high school diploma and/or GED is required; a degree is preferred
3. Experience working in fast-paced manufacturing environments
4. The ability to read part blueprints
6. Process improvement experience and/or strong problem-solving skills
7. Microsoft Office, including MS Excel skills
