Process Engineer

Minimum Requirements:

• B.S. Chemical or Mechanical Engineering degree
• 1+ years of experience out of any PSM regulated chemical plant
• Experience with as many of the following is ideal
  • Drying, reaction, distillation, unit start-up, scheduling plant trails, design through installation of capital projects, and reliability

Job Description:

Here is a great opportunity to step into a state-of-the-art facility with great potential of career mobility. The plant itself was recently built (6 years old), produces specialty chemicals, is PSM regulated and is in the middle of a plant expansion project. This person would be one of three dedicated process engineers working on a newly created process that utilizes a highly automated DCS control system. With opportunities to wear several different hats, some of the responsibilities of this role include process optimization using six-sigma techniques, assisting with unit start-ups and shut downs, working with outside contractors, cost reduction, designing plant trials, upgrading plant equipment, and insuring plant equipment complies with PSM and EHS standards.
