Great opportunity to join a biotech/ chemical leader as the Site Controls and Automation Engineer. Lead and implement the automation/ network system initiaves for optimization and improvements at the expanding chemical plant site. Responsibilities:
— Provide day to day automation and process control support for operating areas of plant site.
— Identify, prioritize and manage plant automation process issues and cost drivers by analyzing performance using data driven statistical methods and RCA (Root Cause Analysis) techniques.
— Drive optimization and improvement projects for the site automation processes by providing broad and in depth technological expertise while maintaining expense budgets and cost.
— Execute feasibility studies and plant trials in support of plant problems, opportunities, product development and technological innovations.
— Interface with Operations, Technology and Business Partners to anticipate and propose solutions for current and future needs.
— Ensure site compliance with engineering codes & practices and corporate requirements (SHE, Manufacturing, Finance) and cGMP standards are met.
Qualifications:
— BS Chemical or Electrical Engineering Degree with 3+ years experience with Process Controls and Automation project/ designs in chemicals, pharma, food grade or nutriceutical manufacturing operations.
— Requires extensive technical knowledge of DCS and PLC systems and networking.
— Knowledge of ISO, PSM and cGMP operations is preferred.
— Ability to work now or in the future without sponsorship.
