Polyolefin Applications Manager – Plastics

Join an expanding global chemical leader as the Polyolefin Expert interfacing with Technical Service, R&D, and Sales teams of the plastic business units.  In this role as Plastics Lab Manager, you will work closely with the commercial and development initiatives to define, expand, and create new and improved products to grow the plastic markets globally.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

— Operate, manage, and update the Plastics Lab operation.

— Maintain and update daily the Technical Support Request (TSR) records.

— Develop laboratory data and trials to assist and support the needs of the customers.

— Provide technical reports and progress summaries to the Commercial and/or Development Teams.

— Develop standards and practices for the plastic application markets.

— Understand and analyze new products for expanding applications markets.

— Develop and present comparative data with competitor products.

— Supervise a Lab Chemist

QUALIFICATIONS:

— BS in Engineering, Plastics, Chemistry or related degree is required with 5+ years working with Development of Polyolefin (PP, PE, TPO) products and applications.

— Must have solid experience with UV stabilization, processing and testing of Polyolefins, including formulations

— Experience with film, fibers, tape, sheet in outdoor applications

— Experience with Standards Testing and Organizations i.e., ASTM, ISO, etc.

— Ability to work in the USA without sponsorship, now or in the future.
