Plant Financial Analyst Summary:  
The Financial Analyst is responsible for assisting the Plant Controller in performing a variety of accounting functions. They will develop, interpret, and implement complex financial analysis in support of strategic and tactical business initiatives.  They provide critical insight through financial modeling and analysis, profitability analysis, capital allocation, business plans, and strategy development
 

Plant Financial Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Prepare plant monthly and annual financial results in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Analyzes financial information to determine present and future financial performance.
  • Prepare analysis of financial and operating information as required.
  • Prepare the annual business plan and forecast.
  • Optimize cash flow.
  • Conduct internal auditing procedures.
  • Insure that all accounting transactions are recorded in an effective and timely manner in accordance with GAAP.
  • Conducts special studies to analyze complex financial actions and prepares recommendations for policy, procedure, control, or action.
  • Identifies trends and recommends improvements.
  • Evaluates complex profit plans, operating records, and financial statements.
  • Conducts special studies to analyze complex financial actions and prepares recommendations for policy, procedure, control, or action.
  • Analyzes financial information to determine present and future financial performance.
  • Makes recommendations to management regarding cost saving or profit generating opportunities and profitability improvement strategies.
  • Analyzes capital structures in the context of capital allocation (investment, acquisitions, dividends, etc.) and related implications to business valuation.
 
Qualification Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Must have Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment. 
  • Must be experienced with computerized accounting systems and proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills required.
  • Must have high level of interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and present information to management, employees, and corporate personnel.
