Job Title: Orthopedic Physician Assistant
Location: Key West, Florida

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Orthopedic Physician Assistant to join an established single-specialty group in Key West, Florida. The successful candidate will join a full-time Orthopedic Surgeon and a part-time Physician Assistant in a single office location. Our existing office is located in a professional complex with other employed providers of differing specialties and includes seven exam rooms.
Roles and Responsibilities:
– Provide assistance to the Orthopedic Surgeon in all aspects of patient care
– Perform histories and physicals, order and interpret lab work, and diagnose and treat diseases in accordance with the state’s Physician Assistant regulations
– Participate in patient education, follow-up care, and referrals
– Coordinate patient care with other departments and providers
– Prepare and maintain accurate medical records

Qualifications:
– Completed an approved Physician Assistant program
– Current state Physician Assistant license in good standing
– National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification
– Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
– Current state Physician Assistant license in good standing
– National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification
– Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
Experience and Skills:
– At least 2 years of experience as a Physician Assistant in Orthopedic Surgery
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills
– Strict adherence to organizational protocols and patient confidentiality
– Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
– Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
