Job Summary

We are seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner  to join our Behavioral Health  team. The Psychiatric NP will provide behavioral health treatment for a wide-variety psychiatric disorders and help  with all aspects of patient care  including diagnosis, treatment, collaboration and consultations.
 
Job Qualifications/Job Duties
  • Current registered nurse license and certification in New York State
  • Minimum of three years of professional nursing experience in a clinic or hospital setting plus at least one year of psychiatric nurse practitioner experience
  • Assesses the patient’s general mental health condition by collecting medical histories, administering comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and identifying issues that may be affecting the patient’s state of mental health
  • The Nurse Practitioner Collaborates with the psychiatrists and other staff members in the team in managing acute and long-term medical and psychiatric/mental health needs of patients.
Compensation and Benefits
