POSITION DESCRIPTON:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Act as primary support for network related tickets
• Engage Network Operations Center staff as required
• Instruct and train Service Desk that act as our customer facing interface for improving our delivery

Daily Operations

• Manage the enterprise network specifically with focus on local support of plant facility as well as remote sites
• Implement changes aligned with the change process
• Life cycle management of all networking assets both leased and purchased
• Collaborate with both local ServiceDesk staff and off-site counterparts
• Documents and updates changes to implemented solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in projects, tasks and addressing critical production issues
• Participate in OT team meetings as needed and provide solution to meet OT needs

Project Management

• Plan and execute network projects and tasks. Follow up with other Group IT resources
• Advise in pre-studies on technical and architectural work
• Provide guidance and requirements for new or upgrade network projects
• Lead and supplement technical activities related to network programming

Vendor Management

• Plan and manage work with our vendors – including structured cable installers, WAN carriers, network equipment suppliers, and network consultants.
• Ability to run operational meetings
• Work with improving provided services

Required:

·       Four-year degree from a college or university in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or business administration with emphasis in computer-related courses or equivalent work experience.

• Minimum three years of experience working hands on in enterprise networks
• Professional experience in high availability network in business critical networks
• Professional experience with managing LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, Firewalls

Preferred:

• Experience with a global network infrastructure in a central and decentralized environment
• Vendor management experience
• Experience with the following technologies:
  • Cisco Catalyst series switches/routers (29xx, 3xxx, 4xxx, 68xx series)
  • Cisco Wireless LAN controllers & access points (28xx, 35xx, 55xx series)
  • Cisco Call Manager
  • Cisco Prime
  • Cisco AnyConnect
  • Solar Winds
  • PaloAlto Firewalls/Panorama
  • ServiceNow
• ITIL training and certification
• Certified Network training
