Mechanical Project Engineering Designer
- A degree in either mechanical engineering or manufacturing engineering is required
- Two or more years of custom equipment machine design experience with SolidWorks from from concept to completion is required
- Pay is up to $85,000 annually

This full time, permanent Mechanical Project Engineering Designer is at an employee-oriented, custom automation engineering design company. The company takes designing custom automation equipment to a new level. The company does a lot of machine building from scratch but is also making standard products that are sold around the world. The engineering group consists of six engineers so an engineer can have a big impact at the company. The company promotes from within.
The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate should include the following:
- Designing machines from concept through completion
- Creating custom automation and robotic work cell equipment
- Finding solutions to problems
- Seeing jobs through to production
- Working with machinists, assemblers and electrical personnel
- Working as a team
- Managing projects and/or projects within time constraints
The background of the successful candidate must include the following:
- A mechanical engineering or manufacturing engineering degree
- Two or more years of custom automated equipment machine design experience from from concept to completion
- SolidWorks experience
- An understanding of machine tool, material science, hydraulic and pneumatic concepts
- An understanding of machine design and power transmission
- 3D drawing experience
- Ability to be a creative self-starter
- Ability to anticipate and solve problems
