¨ Coordinate project management tasks.
¨ Maintain contact with external contractors and suppliers and coordinate contractor maintenance endeavors within the plant.
¨ Monitor the proficiency of all external contractors to insure optimum service performance.
¨ Provide technical expertise on evaluating process equipment.
¨ Insure functionality and reliability of the plants mechanical and hydraulic equipment.
¨ Minimization of downtime through planned, predictive, and preventative maintenance programs.
¨ Insure maintenance program will meet equipment expectations.
¨ Training and coordination of the activities of the operators and technicians as related to troubleshooting and repair of mechanical and hydraulic equipment within the plant or facilities projects and various plant utilities systems
¨ Remain abreast of changing technology within the industry and submit recommendations for upgrades as pertinent.
¨ Works safely, follows lockout/tryout procedures, and corrects any unsafe conditions identified in course of work.
¨ Observes plant safety and housekeeping rules at all times
¨ Awareness of EPA & OSHA regulations, and other applicable laws and regulations
¨ Organize multiple projects at one time
¨ Strong communication skills and teamwork with contractors and associates
¨ Electronic Drawing Programs (AutoCAD) and Blueprint reading
¨ Computer skills (Microsoft office)
¨ Knowledge of hydraulic mechanical maintenance
¨ Preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and assessment skills
¨ Familiarity with computer maintenance management systems (CMMS)
¨ Familiarity with Document management systems (DMS)
¨ Knowledge of facilities management
Education and/or Experience:
¨ Bachelor Degree in a technical area preferred
¨ Professional Engineer (PE) in mechanical, industrial a plus
¨ Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering or technical area considered
