My client, a Global Manufacturer and a leader in their market, is seeking to attract a dynamic MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER to join their design engineering team within their contract manufacturing operation, located in Rochester, NY.  This facility specializes in the custom design of precision metal fabrications for industrial applications.  As they are in a recession-proof industry, long-term stability is an important part of their offering.
 
The Design Engineer Will:
  • Design custom fabrications per customer specifications.
  • Cost Estimate their designs.
  • Interface with CNC Fabricators building their designs.
  • Design fixtures to help manufacture their designs.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.  Unfortunately, my client cannot provide Visa Sponsorship.
  • Must have a BSME
  • 1 to 3 years of custom product design experience per customer specifications is required.  Will seriously consider recent college graduates.
  • Must have hands-on SolidWorks and/or Inventor CAD experience.
  • Must have an understanding of drafting standards, geometric tolerances, and interpretations to various standards.
  • An understanding of process control, capabilities, and various methods of manufacturing preferred.
  • An understanding of CNC machine shop practices, processes, tooling and theory of machining preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and passport (occasional international travel will be required).
 
COMP:  $70K to $80K depending on experience + 5% Annual Bonus
