In this strategic manufacturing engineering role, you will be part of a new business unit and will work closely with business development, manufacturing process engineering, and toolroom teams to optimize and improve processes, material flow, and tooling development for a leading multi-site supplier of automotive solutions.
Our client is an innovative OEM of “smart” solutions used in automotive and transportation industries. As manufacturing engineer, you will be responsible for developing new manufacturing technologies which includes simplifying and standardizing tooling and manufacturing processes, identifying new manufacturing technology solutions, and driving cost improvement initiatives.

Position Overview
- Create a strategic vision for corporate tool manufacturing and repair
- Drive continuous change and improvements with regard to manufacturing technology, process methodology, and elimination of waste while optimizing existing tooling manufacturing processes and design standardization
- Use lean concepts and Six Sigma methods such as standard work, TPM, single piece flow, error proofing, and Industry 4.0 to simply structure and eliminate decisions regarding tooling
- Inspire change through a positive attitude and strategic thinking at all organizational levels
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering
- Ideally 10 or more years of manufacturing process improvement and process optimization experience
- Experience and knowledge of tooling, tool manufacturing and/or multi-axis CNC machinery preferred
- Six Sigma certification preferred
- Understanding of lean concepts along with experience applying them in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to manage projects in a collaborative and team-oriented environment
