Manager of Engineering and Project Management

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Manage staff and assign tasks, goals, and completion dates to project management and engineering teams respectively.

·         Create, track, evaluate performance KPIs for all team members; focusing on leading indicators.

  • Provides leadership and technical expertise through the sharing of new tools, techniques, and problem-solving approaches.

·         Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of Engineering drawings, schematics, lists of materials and documentation in an organized and easy-to-understand methodology

·         Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all part numbers, material masters, BOMs, HTS codes and material descriptions in the SAP ERP system.

·         Develop talent within teams. 

·         Communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

·         Coordinate internal resources to complete project related tasks across multiple departments: engineering, procurement, planning, expediting, manufacturing, quality.

·         Perform risk management exercises to identify and mitigate project/company exposure.

·         Review and analyze Gross Margin as measured from as sold to final project margin.

·         Actively manage OTD, Sales and Gross Margin.

·         Support sales estimates as required.

·         Prepare and present operations data to upper management and stakeholders.

·         Ability to influence others to reach a goal.

·         Establish and maintain good rapport with sales and finance teams. 

·         Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Directly supervises 5 employees within the 2 departments.

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

·         Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Bachelor’s Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, specializing in engineering, business, or supply chain management or more than five (10) years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

·         Proficient in 3D CAD systems is required, preferably AutoCad Mechanical

·         Proficient use of SAP is preferred but not required

·         Proficient use of excel is required

·         Experience using Analysis for Office – (SAP extension) is desired

·         PMP certification is preferred

·         Proven working experience in project management and engineering

·         Experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred

S     Salary Range:  $95,000 – $105,000 + 10% bonus
