We are recruiting for a very well established manufacturer of metal fasteners in Plymouth MI. They are looking for a Machining Team Leader, and I thought your resume looked like a good fit–here are the details–
Title: Machining Team Leader
Location: Chucker Department
Reports to: Plant Manager
General Summary
Responsible for training and supporting operators to keep necessary secondary machines running
at all times, by promoting quality and higher efficiencies. Learn to complete setups of various
jobs and manage job tooling inventory.
Specific Duties
Promote high efficiencies (>70%)
SPC and containment sample support
Troubleshoot minor issues
Tool adjustments/changes with minimal downtime
Relieve operator(s) as needed
Hilo driver
Perform setups and complete green cards
Train and support all secondary machining operators
Manage tooling inventory and re-order tooling as required
Other Duties and Responsibilities
Machine and manpower scheduling
Support chipper operation
Promote and maintain good housekeeping (floors, around machine(s), wipe down
machines, etc.)
Be responsive to Machine Operators requests, to limit production downtime
Support and promote TPM (total productive maintenance)
Verify all end of shift duties are properly completed
Required Knowledge, Skills, Pre-qualification and abilities
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Multi-tasking ability
Attention to detail and mechanical aptitude
Sound math skills and blueprint reading
Understand/Be knowledgeable with different parts within the department
Proficient in both verbal and written communication
Must be able to bend, twist, kneel, squat, climb and carry up to 35 lbs.
Must be able to walk/stand for up to 10 hours per day
