Essential Functions of the Labor Affairs Specialist

  • Maintain positive employee relations
  • Administer FMLA, leaves of absence, and payroll
  • Manage employee records and policies
  • Comply with EEO and Affirmative Action regulations
  • Handle hiring and termination processes
  • Address employee concerns and grievances
  • Participate in safety initiatives
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts

  • Collaborate with plant leadership
  • Adapt to changing needs of the department


  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interpret and apply labor laws and regulations
  • Experience in employee relations and human resources
  • Knowledge of payroll and benefits administration
  • Ability to handle conflict resolution and problem-solving
