Job description

We are looking for a Business Analyst who will be the vital link between our information technology capacity and our business objectives by supporting and ensuring the successful completion of analytical, building, testing and deployment tasks of our software product’s features. This position requires a strong level of personal organization and detail-oriented ability to ensure the integrity of the inventory and all related systems; a demonstrated ability to creatively identify, analyze and develop systems improvements while effectively managing multiple tasks; and the skills to react quickly and decisively to resolve operations and project issues. Individual will enjoy diverse job responsibilities.


  • Utilizing computer skills – support business users and leads with reports and process solutions
  • Use MS Access as interface for JD Edwards ERP / write Excel reports from data
  • Assure integrity of inventory processes
  • Develop and prepare profit analysis by customer & product
  • Product pricing and price increase process
  • Maintain ERP pricing, standard costs and overhead rates – Oversight of Purchasing Systems and Tools – Liaison with Engineering to set up new items and prepare Bills of Materials in ERP – Analyze Purchase Price Variances
  • Duties / Tariffs regulations for imports – this may be learned
  • Monitor costs of raw materials and foreign exchange rates – and analyze effect on costs and margins
  • Identify system improvement opportunities and implement solutions across company
  • Support business leads with special projects requiring research, analysis, enhancements and reporting
  • Special Projects and Cost Analysis projects as needed


  • Excellent Computer Skills – Experience with databases and spreadsheets Expert with Excel and Proficient to Expert with MS Access
  • Knowledgeable and experienced with costing and inventory analysis
  • Experienced with ERP inventory, cost and purchasing modules (JD Edwards extremely helpful)
  • SQL Programming Skills helpful
  • Cost Analysis Skills helpful – Analytical – assess systems / identify opportunities / creative solutions
  • Able to develop reports for business – typically from Access databases presented in Excel – Ability to work independently, establish priorities, perform frequent follow up, mange tasks and time
  • Strong organizational, customer service and interpersonal skills

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 15+ years of experience
  • Computer Skills – Excel, Access, ERP (JD Edwards helpful), SKL Programming (helpful)
  • Experience as an Analyst
  • Knowledge of Cost Accounting
  • Diverse experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrates the energy, work ethic and initiative the company culture requires
