We are recruiting for an IT Project Manager for our client in Woodland Park, NJ (07424) for a 6 month contract position with 7+ years experience in IT Project Management, PMP and Bachelor’s degree are required. Also hospital or pharmaceutical experience as well as Cerner Millennium project experience preferred. Compensation depends on experience.

JOB SUMMARY
· Responsible for leading and directing large and complex enterprise programs or projects across all lines of business.
· Oversees all aspects of project management implementation including resource management, time management, scope management, change management and financial management.
· Responsible for delivering projects in a demanding healthcare environment and involves working with business and IT stakeholders in the development and completion of project charters, project scopes of work, cost estimates and plans.
· Continually communicates the status, issues, risks, milestones and timelines to stakeholders, project team, executives, vendors and the PMO.
· Responsible for managing a diverse team of IT, business and vendors through the full project lifecycle.
· Helps develop and deliver best practices in a newly created PMO and assist with the coaching and mentoring of project managers.

REQUIREMENTS
· Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s degree.
· Prior Hospital, Healthcare or Pharmaceutical experience is preferred.
· Must have current Professional Project Management (PMP) certification
· Experience with construction projects a major plus.
· Prior experience with PPM Toolsets and MS Office required.
· Experience with SharePoint preferred.
· Work requires analytical ability to collect information from diverse sources and apply professional principles in performing various analyses and summarize the information and data in order to solve problems.
· Must possess strong customer service, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills required.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
These are the essential job functions for this position. The essential functions of this job include, but may not be limited to those listed below in this job description.
· Identify, contribute and document best practices and improve the PMO’s methodology, deliverables, reports, and templates.
· Manage medium to large projects, including scope, time, cost, quality, resource, communication, risk, procurement/vendor management and other activities.
· Serve as PMO liaison with all departments and vendors on project intake process, inquiries and project status.
· Responsible for developing, collecting and/or maintaining project artifacts including project status reports, meeting notes, project charters, transition plans, work break-down structures, project task lists and schedules, project budgets, risk and issue logs, etc.
· Manage and control project budgets, task lists and schedules. Ensure timely completion of deliverables.
· Possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Prepare project presentations, reports and communications for project, clinical/business, executive and vendor team meetings. Respond to ad hoc reporting requests and produce timely quality deliverables.
· Organize and conduct project team meetings, communicate effectively and provide clear direction and guidance to the project team.
· Manage and control project scope. Identify change needs and assess the impact of the changes, obtain stakeholder acceptance to ensure business and functional requirements are met. Prepare, submit and obtain approval for change requests.
· Oversee, monitor and communicate project related issues, scope changes, and variances that may arise during the project life cycle and applies best practices to resolve or mitigate project issues.
· Have business acumen and be willing to tackle complex problems head-on while dealing with the challenges of short timescales and demanding business stakeholders.
· Support training and project/process implementation
– Partner with stakeholders to develop and document training plan that is aligned to the business and functional requirements
– Help develop training materials and end user documentation; work with support and operations teams to develop an implementation plan
– Confirm that all components of the project have been deployed into production
– Prepare release notes and/or post-implementation transition plan
· Able to manage and drive multiple complex programs and projects across all lines of business; manage enterprise wide strategic programs and projects with high level of visibility; and interact with multiple, diverse stakeholder groups comprised of business, IT and vendors.
