JOB DESCRIPTION: Inspector I
Department: Quality Assurance Reports to: QA Manager
SUMMARY: |
Inspectors perform Receiving, In-process, and Final inspections of varying complexity, on aerospace components and assemblies. Utilize a variety of precision measurement and test equipment to determine product conformity. Provide shipping and inspection support and prepare a variety of inspection documents and certifications. |

RESPONSIBILITY #1: |
Inspection |
|
· Receiving inspection – verify compliance of items to drawings, purchase orders and specification requirements; record certificates and related documents in file records. · In-Process inspection – verify manufacturing processes; inspection of sub-assembled components, production hardware, and related documents. · Final Inspection – verify maintenance and repair of electro-hydraulic actuators according to FAA requirements with minimal assistance. (Requires FAA Airman certificate for MRO Return to Service) |
RESPONSIBILITY #2: |
Miscellaneous Duties |

· Conduct in-house audits as required. · Follow department protocol for appropriate document control and maintenance. |

REQUIRED EDUCATION
|
· High School Degree or equivalent
|
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/ QUALIFICATIONS
|
· Relevant experience and demonstrated proficiency in the use of standard inspection gauges, equipment, and test equipment in a receiving, inspection, maintenance or production role. · Minimum 2 years’ experience and demonstrated proficiency in in-process and final inspection in a manufacturing environment. · Demonstrated ability to read and interpret aerospace manufacturer drawings. · Demonstrated understanding of precision measurement, dimensioning and tolerances. · Working knowledge of PC’s and applicable Microsoft software (EXCEL & WORD) · Knowledge of manufacturer’s component assembly instruction and maintenance manuals. · Has knowledge of and understands productivity standard times. · Knowledge/experience with Aerospace electrical, hydraulic, mechanical systems is beneficial.
