Our Jasper, IN client company is looking to hire a Human Resources/Talent Development & Training Specialist. The HR Specialist, Talent Development & Training is responsible for leading the strategy, development and execution of key organizational effectiveness of talent acquisition and management programs for the production hourly group.    This position will deliver solutions to acquire talent, develop talent; also serving as the community liaison. 

Qualifications:

  • Use current and future business insight to create talent and organizational development strategy for production positions, including but not limited to talent acquisition, employee development and retention, and capability enhancement.
  • Champion a continuous learning approach; ensure learning and development tools are in place to build necessary skills, a coaching culture and competencies for current and future workforce.
  • Develop and execute partnership with local High Schools
  • Develop and execute effective recruitment strategies, ensuring attraction and selection of top talent with an emphasis on talent pipeline and critical role/skill development to help meet future workforce needs. Provide and direct innovative sourcing solutions for production positions through targeted channels to ensure the timely fill of openings.
  • Partner with the leadership team and HR Business Partners on the development and execution of workforce planning needs
  • Develop and implement a strong employer brand and employee value proposition initiatives to position company as an employer of choice amongst passive candidates
  • Engage and connect with network of external thought leaders, senior HR professionals, local businesses and communities of practice in talent to keep informed of emerging research, trends and practice.
  • Assist the HR department with new hire orientations and benefit orientations
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned at management’s discretion.
  • Delivers results even under tough circumstances with energy and resilience
  • Applies knowledge of business and the marketplace to meet and advance the company’s goals and human capital objectives.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and competing priorities in a matrix environment.
  • Strong communication skills – listening, verbal, written and presentation.
  • Readily adapts personal, interpersonal, and leadership behavior understanding that different situations may call for different approaches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Business or a related field required; PHR Certification preferred 
  • HR Generalist with 2+ years of relevant experience 
  • Experience supporting a manufacturing operation preferred 

Experience with WorkDay and Kronos preferred
