Horizontal Machining Center CNC Machinist Operator

• Hours are four twelve-hour days, Monday through Thursday on second shift (additional overtime hours are possible)
• One year of experience operating a Horizontal Machining Center to produce products within tight tolerances is required
• Pay is up to $20 to $30 hourly
• Must be a United States citizen or Green Card holder

This full-time, permanent Horizontal Machining Center CNC Machinist Operator position is at small, family-owned custom machining company. The company believes in training their employees so they can know every machine and have versatility. Employees also have the opportunity to move around to other departments. Employees can participate in several teambuilding events.

The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate will include the following:

• Working four twelve-hour days, Monday through Thursday on second shift
• Reading and understanding engineering drawings
• Setting up and operating a Horizontal Machining Center to produce products within tight tolerances
• Editing CNC programs as needed
• Utilizing gages to perform inspections
• Manufacturing parts within tight tolerances

The background of the successful candidate must include the following to be considered for this position:

• Possess the ability to work four twelve-hour days, Monday through Thursday on second shift
• One or more years of experience setting up a Horizontal Machining Center
• One or more years of experience operating a Horizontal Machining Center to produce products within tight tolerances
• Possess the ability to read engineering drawings
• Possess the ability to change CNC programs as needed
• A solid work history
• A US citizen or possess a green card
• A residence within 45 minutes
