We are seeking a Head of Technology for a direct hire hybrid employee role with our client in East Rutherford, NJ (07073). Compensation depends upon experience level. 10+ years of software development experience in a hands-on leadership capacity. Experience with multiple eCommerce solutions as well as .NET experience required.
We are looking for a highly skilled and visionary Head of Technology to join our dynamic and established cross-border delivery company. As the Head of Technology, you will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of our technological infrastructure, overseeing the development and implementation of cutting-edge solutions, and ensuring seamless integration of systems across various departments. This is a key leadership position that requires strong, hands-on technical expertise within the eCommerce space, knowledge of the industry players and the ability to drive technology initiatives to support our company’s growth and success.

This role will work closely with internal departments to deliver industry leading solutions that support and drive value to our customers. This position is based out of our headquarters in East Rutherford, NJ.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee the management of the company’s technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and data security.
• System Architecture and Integration: Designing and maintaining a robust and scalable technology architecture that supports the company’s operations, ensuring seamless integration of systems and data exchange between different platforms and applications.
• Strategic Planning: Developing and executing a technology roadmap that aligns with the company’s overall business objectives, taking into account emerging trends and advancements in the logistics industry.
• Information Security: Ensuring the security and integrity of the company’s data and systems, implementing strong cybersecurity measures, and staying up to date with the latest threats and vulnerabilities.
• Project Management: Leading cross-functional technology projects, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors, and ensuring timely delivery of projects within budget and scope.
• Research and Development: Identifying and evaluating new technologies and solutions that can improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer experience, and overseeing the development and implementation of these solutions.
• Team Management: Building and leading a high-performing technology team providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to team members, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration and above all accountability among team members by clearly defining roles, responsibilities, and expectations.
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborating with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and external partners to ensure alignment on technology initiatives, and providing regular updates on progress and performance ensuring efficient resource allocation and timely delivery.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the technology team, promoting knowledge sharing and skill enhancement.

Who you are:
• Extensive multifaceted technical skills with programming/coding proficiency in the eCommerce space.
• Hands-on knowledge of .NET Core, MS SQL and Azure/AWS cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of software/systems evaluation and have the ability to correct technical issues.
• Experience and an acute ability to understand the eCommerce merchant and consumer needs.
• Experience in building and managing a team of people and working cross-functionally.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Extraordinary organizational and presentation skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• You are hands-on and excited about having a direct impact.
