Job Title: General Surgeon
Location: Poplar Bluff, Missouri

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Surgeon to join our team of specialists. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing general surgical services to our patients in a safe and effective manner.
Roles and Responsibilities:
– Perform general surgical procedures, such as appendectomies, cholecystectomies, hernia repairs, and thoracotomies
– Monitor the progress of patients during and after surgery
– Provide pre- and post-operative care, including prescribing medications
– Educate patients on pre- and post-operative care
– Collaborate with other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team
– Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
– Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations

Qualifications:
– Medical Doctor (MD) degree
– Valid medical license
– Board certification in General Surgery
– 3+ years of post-residency experience in General Surgery
– Excellent clinical and surgical skills
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team

Experience and Skills:
– Knowledge of general surgical procedures and techniques
– Familiarity with advanced surgical technologies, such as the DaVinci robot
– Ability to make accurate diagnoses and provide appropriate follow-up treatment
– Ability to work independently and manage a variety of tasks
– Ability to prioritize and multitask
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
