Job Description:

We are a fast-paced manufacturer seeking a talented Accountant to join our team. In this role, you’ll support the Accounting Manager with various site accounting functions. Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with month-end and year-end reconciliations
• Preparing and running weekly and monthly financial reports
• Documenting, entering, and posting fixed assets and depreciation
• Reconciling A/R, A/P, P&L, and balance sheets
• Preparing and verifying weekly A/P payments
• Assisting with quarterly and yearly audits and year-end inventory
• Reconciling bank accounts and company credit cards
• Filing J-SOX paperwork
• Utilizing 10-key data entry for ERP system information input
• Learning to be a backup team member for A/R and A/P functions
• Completing weekly payroll submissions and GL reporting
• Partnering with the accounting team to complete projects efficiently
• Providing daily guidance to accounting specialists
• Communicating with team members on accounting improvements and projects
• Other tasks as assigned by management

What We’re Looking For:

• Education: An Associate’s degree is preferred but not required.
• Experience: 1-2 years of similar high-volume accounting experience.
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in accounts payable, general ledger, and reconciliation
  • Working knowledge of GAAP
  • Ability to perform 10-key data entry
  • Experience with MS Excel, including spreadsheets and formulas

Preferred but Not Required:

• Experience with ERP systems
• Manufacturing experience
• Experience with accounts receivable
• Payroll accounting experience
